Mithril, how does that in any way deserve a 0? It's a great picture, you just love to bash people. Here's a 5 to counter-balance your 0.

One small detail doesn't detract from the whole. I think it's a great image worthy of a top rating. Faramirs outfit fit my imaginations image to a T.

Sure it looks good but Frodos(?) head look lil' odd and Faramirs (yes I know they dressed up in green archer dress) dress reminds me of Robin Hood.

except that Frodo (the one I'm assuming is Frodo) looks a little too boyish to me, too much like a kid.

What is up, Frodo has a little boy face and big man hands. Sam looks like Ben Franklin all smushed down. Why are they talking to Robin Hood, and why do their clothes look Downy Fresh?

This is just how I pictured Faramir in my head: vary tall and vary, as far as can be told, good looking. I Love it!! A five from me.

It captures the moment well, when Faramir tries to work out what the Holbitla are, once he realises they're not orcs.

not a bad pic ( i don't really like the way the hobbits are represented). the man on the left i'm assuming is Faramir looks like Robin Hood. i imagined that they'd blend into the forest more though. for all my complaining though i like it.

I've always thought that Faramir was the brother of Boromir but now I can see I've been wrong...he's the brother of Robin Hood!

Zelda589 wrote (a couple of years ago, anyway!):
"I was browsing Borders as I am prone to do - and I have seen this picture before. This picture is used for the cover of the book "The Rover" by Mel Odom. It's a beautiful picture, but the story has nothing to do with Middle-Earth, I wonder how he got the rights to use this for his book."
Zelda589, this painting was from one of the Hildebrandts' Tolkien calendars from the late 1970's. The question should be "How did the publisher of Mel Odom's book get the rights to use this Tolkien illustration as the cover for "The Rover"?"

Zelda589, this painting was from one of the Hildebrandts' Tolkien calendars from the late 1970's. The question should be "How did the publisher of Mel Odom's book get the rights to use this Tolkien illustration as the cover for "The Rover"?"
