  1. The use of colors is exquisite. The image of Aragorn isn't quite fitting though. I picture Aragorn as tall, not beefy, and without a mustache, fair to look upon, not burly. That looks more like Boromir. The image of Galadriel is captured well though. I like it.

  5. This painting is backwards. Aragorn should be on the left, Galadriel on the right. Is it possible to "flip" this image back to the way it should be? Otherwise, viewers aren't seeing it the way it was meant to be seen.

  7. I have tried to keep a reputation of giving rankings based on the quality of the art work, rather than the interpretation of the scene. However, I need to say that I agree with the Boromir/Aragorn problem, but I would like to add another. I think Galadriel looks far too much like a classic Victorian english lady. I know this is splitting hairs, but Galadriel is a very important character for me, and I never pictured her as Victorian (it implies a docile demeanor she really doesn't have). But the colours and work are superb, with the tones contrasting magnificently. It truly brings out the "larger than life" nature setting of lothlorien. All in all, it's pretty impressive.

  9. I agre about the Aragorn/Boromir thing, but it's still a good image. It reminds me of a Maxfield Parrish painting, though.

  27. I think that is Galadriel and Aragorn in Lothlorien. That looks somewhat like Aragorn. He should take off the mustache, but should still have some stubble. The scenery is beautiful, so a 5 for that.

  29. It is nice, but a little blurry. Galadriel looks better here (more friendly and less intimidating) than in the movie. Aragorn doesn't look right, probably because he's a little blurred. I like the colors and scenery, but shouldn't the trees be gold?

  37. ..and I don`t think I ever will.... They just don?t capture the soul of Tolkien`s work. And I don`t like this one either! Galadriel looks like a woman and not an elfqueen. Aragorn is all wrong too!
