Galadriel is probably the sort of person who shouldn't be painted in sharp focus. This slightly blurry, misty picture of her gives her the magical aura she needs. The hobbits are present in this picture as they should be, and the glow of Nenya is portrayed wonderfully.
The only thing that makes me uncomfortable about this picture is that Galadriel looks a little too young. I can easily believe she looked like this in the First Age, but in the Third? Elves don't age like people of course, but still time ought to make her look just a little wiser and sadder.

change, but not as I envisioned them ( that doesn't

And I would have preferred that the mirror - pedestal
were STRAIGHT, instead of angled.
As always, Mr. Nasmith's artwork is superlative, but I
prefer his other, more "classic" rendering of Galadriel,
also in The Gallery.
My own personal favorite of this subject is Alan Lee's
"The Mirror of Galadriel". Why, oh why, isn't it up here in
"Highest Rated" where it belongs?

A bit too shadowy for the Golden Wood.
But Galadriel is just... magnificent

The hobbits do look very african I agree. I always think of hobbits as like children with rosy cheeks and curly hair.
Galadriel doesn't look beautiful enough here. She looks like Eowyn should.
He legs are too elongated as well.
No, I'm not a fan of this picture. But I'm a hard gal to please as I always think everything should look like I imagined it.
