I must say that I have always admired the works of John Howe. He always seems to capture perfectly the mood of a given scene, even if his conceptualizations of the scene don't fit what I imagined while reading the books. Here, Howe has captured the grand scale of the Argonath with utmost attention to detail. Kudos are in order

I always enjoy looking at the art of Howe, but this work shows great attention to every detail, sometimes uncharacteristic of John's work. One of the best peices I ever remember seeing by John. What a great piece of art.

I must say that I have always admired the works of John Howe. I never thought the Argonath would stand so high nor that the Anduin was so narrow, now I havee a good vision in mind.

Wonderful artwork - the slow scrolling of this image down my screen as it downloaded, almost never seeming to get to the tiny elf-boats, gave an excellent impression of the sheer scale in John Howe's vision.

Very cool...the colors are unbelievable in this one! The grandeur of Argonath gives me goosebumps! It makes you think that the "statues" have been there for ages...

It's a pretty picture, but some parts are too dim. I like how Howe captured the atmosphere of the Argonath.
